Recreational Activities : Beekeeping
This course is designed for beginner and experienced beekeepers to obtain firsthand knowledge in the practical aspects of keeping bees using all natural methods. Classes will be held at the bee yard at Rock Bottom Ranch to allow individuals to experience a working beehive under the guidance of a seasoned beekeeper. The tools and beekeepers veil will be provided for each student.
 
Recreational Activities : Eco-Gardening
Learn the art of organic gardening! This series will teach the basics of natural and organic gardening techniques that are in unison with nature. Participants will learn to grow their own food (and medicine) and care for their garden system using entirely self-made and locally available products and holistic techniques!

This 25 acre nature preserve, right in the heart of downtown Aspen, has a classroom with audio visual capabilities and an outside patio. Book the classroom or combine it with one of their popular naturalist programs. They will show you the natural wonders of the Rocky Mountains while skiing, snowshoeing or hiking with one of their naturalist guides. In winter, daily snowshoe tours are conducted from the top of Aspen and Snowmass Mountains, and at Ashcroft Ski Touring Center. Free downhill skiing tours are offered at Snowmass.
