Having taken tango and salsa dance lessons for more than a year, Jimmy was searching for an outlet for his newfound passion. “I was just looking for a place where my friends and I could dance.” The Saturday night gigs have fast become an Aspen institution, inhabited by true aficionados, devotees of the Latino musical genre, and curious wannabes who quickly fall prey to these additively sexy rhythms. Jimmy’s Salsa Night is the newest hot and spicy addition to Aspen’s late-night scene.

The Chocolate Classic is a festive family and community event held near Valentine’s Day at the historic Hotel Jerome. The center of the event is a chocolate competition that will delight and excite the taste buds. The Chocolate Classic benefits RESPONSE a local non-profit dedicated to ending interpersonal violence by providing support, education and direct services. The Chocolate Classic will be held February 12th, 2009 at the Hotel Jerome, 6pm-8:30pm.
