The JAS Labor Day Festival - premier music extravaganzas, renowned for its unparalleled combination of world-class music and stunning mountain vistas. In addition to the headline performances on the main stage, two side stages keep the music going featuring a mix of established bands and emerging artists. The JAS Village area at the Labor Day Festival includes an extensive selection of food and beverage vendors, crafts, kids corner and more. This year's event will feature an exclusive American summer appearance by Wilco on Friday, with opening acts DeVotchKa and Calexico. On Saturday are Eagles members Glenn Frey & Joe Walsh, with two surprise acts TBA to open. The Black Crowes and Southern Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd perform on Sunday, with an opening act TBA.

A walking tour designed to highlight the innovative art of Carbondale. Every first Friday of the month, you can experience gallery openings, business open houses, and other events in and near historic downtown. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the First Friday Art Walk. You will find exceptional work and unique gifts including pottery, sculpture, home decor and outdoor art.

From June to October the Market takes place every Saturday with Colorado grown produce and crafts. Cooking demonstrations are held as well as live music. 2010 Market will be expanded to include even more vendors.

June 20 - September 5, each sunday. Bluegrass Sundays feature top bluegrass musicians from around Colorado and the country performing in this ideal Rocky Mountain setting. The FREE (with the purchase of a gondola ticket), open-air concerts are from noon to 3 p.m. outside the Sundeck on top of Aspen Mountain. Concerts are held on Sundays and Saturday, July 3 (no concert on Sunday, July 4).

Ashcroft Ghost Town– Located 11 miles south of Aspen on Castle Creek Road. Take a short drive up the tranquil Castle Creek Valley and discover the historic ghost town of Ashcroft. Combined nature walks and historical tours are offered by resident “ghost” interns in partnership with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies.
