Time Travel Tuesdays is a new program that will feature a different historically-themed event each Tuesday evening through the end of the ski season. This first event will be a “movie night” featuring the classic 1993 film “Aspen Extreme”. Also on the program will be a showing of several historical short films. The event is free to members with a $5 suggested donation for non-members and should last about 2 hours.

An annual snow sculpture competition for local artists in downtown Aspen - a crowd favorite during WinterSköl™. Create an 8’ square snow sculpture in 48 hours and compete to win prize money. Snow sculpting begins: Thursday, January 8, 8 am. Judging: Saturday, January 10, 9 am. Application deadline is November 21.

JUST ANNOUNCED: Aspen Colorado's Wintersköl Celebration January 8 - 11, 2009

The 1950’s are making a comeback on Thursdays at the Lewis Ice Arena in the Aspen Recreation Center. Beginning Thursday, January 8th come skate from 10am to 11am while listening to the sounds of the oldies. Cost is $5 per session and includes skate rental and a cup of coffee.
