Roaring Fork Open

The Aspen Art Museum invites all Roaring Fork Valley artists to participate in the 2009 Roaring Fork Open. There is no entry fee and is open to all artists who reside in the Roaring Fork Valley between Aspen and Glenwood Springs. Space is limited. For further details, or to schedule an appointment, contact Nicole Kinsler at 970-925-8050 or visit the Aspen Art Museum website.
Since its founding in 1979, the Aspen Art Museum has maintained a commitment to artists who make the Roaring Fork Valley their home. Since 1980 the AAM has hosted—under one rubric or another—its annual Roaring Fork Valley exhibition, engaging the AAM with the surrounding community through each artist’s creative endeavors, as well as allowing community and museum members an opportunity to connect with artists that are also neighbors. Over this time period, hundreds of artists working in every medium have shared their work at the AAM—a tradition that continues this fall with the 2009 Roaring Fork Open. The Roaring Fork Open is but one example of the Aspen Art Museum’s ongoing investment in sustaining a vibrant local arts community.
